Plain-language guidance on DHA Lahore documents and transfer.
Files: allocation vs affidavit
A DHA file is a right to a plot before or after balloting. An allocation file has a plot number assigned; an affidavit (or intimation) file is a right that has not yet been allotted a specific plot. Prices and risk differ — always confirm the exact status before buying.
Plot transfer
Transfer of a DHA plot happens at the DHA office with both parties (or their authorised representatives) present, the original documents, and the transfer fee. The buyer should confirm the plot is clear of dues, litigation and DHA holds before paying.
Documents you need
- Original allocation/transfer letter or file.
- CNIC of buyer and seller.
- DHA membership and dues clearance.
- Authority letter, if either party is represented.
A word of caution
This page is general guidance, not legal advice. DHA rules and fees change. Always confirm the current process at the DHA office and take professional advice for large transactions.
