Where these figures come from
- The asking price is not ours to invent — it is the middle of what is actually being asked for plots like yours within about a kilometre, the same figure the plot value tool gives. You can also put your own figure in.
- Five to ten per cent comes off the asking price first, in every route, because that is roughly where deals actually close. Then our commission: one per cent from the seller and one per cent from the buyer, on every deal we bring — so only your own one per cent comes off the figure below. Sell it yourself and nothing is deducted. A cash buyer pays ten to fifteen per cent under the market.
- Look closely and you will see that selling it yourself puts the most in your hand. We are not going to hide that. What you are paying our one per cent for is the buyer, the bargaining and the DHA rounds — if you would rather do all three yourself, you keep the money.
