Inheritance shares
A plot divided among the heirs — in marla and in rupees, on the ordinary rules of faraid.

The rules used here are the ordinary ones: a widow takes an eighth with children and a quarter without; a widower a quarter with children and a half without; the mother a sixth with children and a third without; the father a sixth when there are children; and what remains goes to the children, a son taking twice a daughter's share.
This covers the common case only — spouse, children, father and mother. It does not handle grandchildren, brothers and sisters, a missing heir, a will, debts owed by the deceased, or any of the harder cases. Faraid is a matter for a mufti and, for the transfer itself, a lawyer. Use this to understand the shape, not to settle an estate.
