Levels

How you earn points

1. +1 for each upvote, like or helpful vote on your post.
2. +15 when your answer is chosen "Best answer".
3. +2 for each thread you start, up to 10 points a day.
4. −1 for each downvote.

The four levels

1. New member (0–9 points, or account less than 3 days old): read, reply, vote, ask questions, start up to 3 threads a day. Posts with links are held for review.
2. Member (10+ points and 3+ days): images, video links, polls, files, and messages to anyone.
3. Senior (200+ points): create groups and events.
4. Trusted (1,000+ points): edit wiki pages and apply to moderate.
5. Staff and moderators have all powers.

Your level and badges

1. Log in and open Levels.
2. See your current level and points at the top.
3. Read "what unlocks next" to see how far the next level is.
4. Badges are automatic: First post, 10 helpful, 100 helpful, Best answer, Phase expert (chosen by mods), 1 year member, Verified pro.
